Bishop Daryl Harris is the founding pastor of Total Life Christian (TLC) Ministries, Inc. in Detroit, MI. Under the charismatic leadership of this anointed man of God, TLC Ministries has become a transformational force in the city of Detroit. Bishop Harris has been able to provide hope and empowerment to families and others within the city and beyond with multiple outreach ministries. Currently Bishop Harris is partnering with several community organizations including the Osborn Business Association, Matrix Human Services, 482Forward and the National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA). Bishop works as the Faith Based Coordinator with Cease Fire Detroit and has started the Faith Based Coalition of Detroit, which works to serve victims of violence. Bishop Harris also serves as a Human Rights Commissioner in the city of Detroit.
Bishop Harris has a unique ministry that reveals the Grace of God in a powerful way to people of all ages. His preaching gift has been referred to as “the word of God leaping off the pages” and continuously affects countless lives. He possesses the true dynamic gift of apostle. His apostolic anointing leads TLC’s 5-fold ministry breaking denominational strongholds, traditional boundaries and cultural biases while ministering a practical faith for practical people. He serves in the building of the church by means of pastoring congregations, mentoring leaders, empowering members and providing professional counseling to constituents as well as community. He is also a gifted singer, musician, songwriter and author of several books, and a manager of several business ventures. His message and purpose is centered on one concept: “Empowering people to live!”
Bishop Harris has been married since 1992 to Wytrice Harris who joins him in ministry as the Pastor of TLC. Together they have two biological children, Amari and Imani, and have been surrogate parents to many others. Bishop Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Faith Evangelical Christian Schools.
